The Gaia is a high-waist bikini bottom with a sculpted silhouette, adjustable side-tie ruching, and a signature scalloped hem — all in DEESSA's original Sargantana print, designed in-house and hand-printed in Spain.

The Sargantana is made to order in sizes S to 2XL. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery. Once your order is placed, you will receive a short email from Elin to confirm your size before we cut. This is not an automated process — every set is made individually, by hand, in Ibiza.

The high waist is not a trend here. It is a considered design decision — elongating the body, celebrating the waist, offering coverage that feels intentional rather than apologetic. The side ties allow the fit to be adjusted precisely to your body, because a made-to-order piece should fit like one.

The scalloped hem is cut and finished by hand. It takes longer. It is worth it.

Is the Gaia bottom full coverage?

The Gaia offers medium-full rear coverage with a high waist front. The side ties allow you to adjust the fit and ruching to your preference.

Does the ruching on the sides affect the fit?

The side ties are fully adjustable, allowing you to control the amount of ruching and the fit around the hip. We recommend measuring at the fullest point of your hip.

Where is DEESSA swimwear made?

DEESSA swimwear is handmade in Ibiza, Spain, in small artisan batches using regenerated European fabrics.

Will the scalloped edge fray or lose shape?

The scalloped hem is finished using a three-thread overlock stitch on performance swimwear fabric — it is designed to withstand saltwater, chlorine, and repeated wear without distortion.

Can this bikini bottom be paired with a matching top?

Yes. It pairs perfectly with the matching turquoise snake print Ibiza bikini top to create a complete coordinated set.

Belangrijk! Voor veel van onze bikinibroekjes gebruiken we een Braziliaanse snit en een "petite" maatsysteem. Als u de voorkeur geeft aan meer bedekking aan de achterkant, raden we aan een maat groter te nemen of een model met meer dekking te kiezen.

Onderhoudsinstructies

Lotion, zonnebrandcrème, olie en chloor kunnen verkleuring van dit artikel veroorzaken; dit is geen fabricagefout. Volg de onderhoudsinstructies om uw badmode in de beste conditie te houden:

Spoelen: Spoel na elk gebruik met water en een kleine hoeveelheid wasmiddel om zout, mineralen en chemische resten uit het materiaal te verwijderen.
Drogen: Wring uw badpak na het wassen niet uit! Leg het in plaats daarvan plat op een handdoek en rol deze op, zodat de handdoek het overtollige water absorbeert.
Opbergen: Zorg ervoor dat uw badmode volledig droog is voordat u deze opbergt. Achtergebleven vocht kan geurtjes veroorzaken en de stoffen voortijdig doen verouderen.
Geen droger: Tenzij uw machine een optie zonder hitte heeft (soms "luchtopfrissen" genoemd), dient u de droger te vermijden — hitte is schadelijk voor de elastische kunststoffen van badmode.

Onze standaard verzendtijd is doorgaans 24-48 uur na aankoop. Eenmaal verzonden, kunt u uw bestelling binnen 7-14 werkdagen verwachten, afhankelijk van uw locatie.

Bij het afrekenen bieden wij de mogelijkheid voor prioriteitsverzending met UPS. Afhankelijk van uw locatie is de levertijd meestal 3-6 werkdagen.
